Drivers and Vista

Here's a topic that I'm hoping that others are not experiencing like I did but if you are one of them I hope that this will be the answer to your hardware problem.
I recently bought a Hp Deskjet F4280, it was a great deal, less than $60 and it's a 3 n' 1 so you can multitask in your home office, however if you have Windows Vista you'll find that it doesn't like the software that comes with it.I learned that the hard way when after a couple of days I turned on my computer one morning to be greeted with an error message: Windows cannot locate the file: \windows\system32\config\system.OXC000000f now you know my neighbours heard a WHAT THE *&^%$ with their morning coffee, yes the vocab of an internet marketer is not polished especially when their source of income won't function. So, off to the shop went my beloved computer and when I got it back the same error message popped up before my computer was about to crash: oxc000000f, I was able to abort the program and promptly used System Restore to get rid of the software for the printer.By now you're probably saying to yourself "ok fine, cut to the chase" ok here's the thing, you can go to the manufacturers website http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=ca&product=3390949&lang=en& make sure that you get the one that's compatible with vista and get the driver file only.I figured out that Vista doesn't like the bells and whistles that come with the printer software.
So there you have it, if you're having trouble I hope this helps.
